The Bridges of the River Hull

These pictures were taken on a Bridges Cruise organised by Hull Bridge Boat Club on 25th May 2002. Hull Bridge Boat Club make this cruise once a year leaving Old Harbour Hull on the top of the tide so that all the bridges have to be lifted to allow the boats to pass through. The aim of the cruise is to show that the river is still used by craft that require all the bridges to be opened. Twenty two boats took part in the cruise, 4 narrow boats, a selection of broad beam cruises down to a 10 foot cruiser with a 6hp outboard.
