Struncheon Hill Lock, waiting for the lock to fill. The 3/4 of a mile straight up to Bethell's Bridge ahead of the lock. The locks on the navigation were designed to take vessels (Humber keels and similar) of 6Oft long, 15ft beam, with a draft of 7ft. However it is possible to get narrow boats over 60tf long on the lock. The boat on the picture is 44ft long.
