Struncheon Hill lock (bottom gates) on 3rd June 2000. The River and the Canal are at the same level on this tide. See adjacent picture for normal water level on a high tide. The high water level in this picture was due to the heavy rain causing raised levels in the Canal and a 7 meter plus tide in the Humber. |
