This picture was taken one week before the adjacent one. This is a more normal High Water level at the lock. Opening Struncheon Hill Lock bottom gates, the paddle gear is standard BW. The gates were fitted by DNAA members in 1983. Note that YorkshireWater must not be able to spellStruncheon Hill as the lock name is given as Hempholme !
